How do you define success? Money & Fame? Success to me is more important that being famous or driving a BMW. Respect is success, and i'll tell you why I view RIP as a success; dedication, reputation, following dreams, and putting in work. Every one of those character contents is respectable. 20+ years is how long RIP has been chasing and ACHIEVING dreams. 10+ albums and numerous collaborative efforts is proving his work ethic. Starting & maintaining your own company is dedication. Boasting over 10K followers on Twitter for a indie label artist is having a solid reputation.

Soultaker Records, logo pictured left, was the independent record label that RIP started way back in 1999, after a short tenure with Eargasm Entertainment when he was residing in Ann Arbor, Michigian. RIP began Soultaker Records to be able to to do what he felt was best for his work, allowing him to get his music out as productively as he was comfortable with.

SoulTaker Records would release a compilation album, Midwest Ridaz, and RIP's 2nd solo album, Rest In Peace, in the local market in Michigan, and also with the third work available online, Relative Perspective all in 1999.

After transplanting to Kansas in 2000, RIP would continue his art, & Soultaker Records, would release numerous, works. RIP's releases include Da Next Level (step 1) in 2000, Da Next Level (step 2) in 2002, The One in 2003, 2003 O.C.(stands for Originality and Creativity) in 2004, Market Saturation Wave 1* in 2008, Timeline I in early 2009, Timeline II in late 2009, Theory of Rap in late 2012.

Theory of Rap boasts 15 powerful tracks, and an Intro track that delves you into the mind of the veteran performer, laying out how his theory begins. My personal favorite track of The Lyrical Undertaker's latest release is "Big Boi Status", the song throws you into RIP's distinct style of music, Lyric Hop, combining boisterous lyrics with incomparable delivery. In 2010, RIP's label made a businesses move with another small independent label, forming a company to assist in financial funding of the two recording labels. In 2013 that partnership would further, dissolving the separate labels to begin working together under one umbrella.
